November 2008

Praise God for his goodness to us over the last three years. He has provided all our needs - almost to the dollar, whilst we have been in Broome. Next year begins a new chapter for us as Lachlan becomes Minister in Charge of Exmouth Anglican Church. This will also mean a new financial arrangement for our ministry needs. The good folk at Exmouth are confident that they can raise the money required to cover the expenses of the church (Electricity, Water, Rates, Car allowance, Housing costs etc). However they will not be able to afford Lachlan's stipend (wage). This means that we will need to raise around $50,000 p.a. Already God has provided one new supporter who has promised $25,000 p.a. for three years; and another new supporter has just promised around $2,000 p.a. for three years! Praise God! A number of existing supporters have also promised to continue to support us, whilst some others have said that due to various reasons (ie. global financial crisis) that they will have to hold off on their support for the moment. This is very understandable. We hope that many more of our existing supporters will be able to continue to support us as we move to Exmouth. If you are a current supporter of ours and wish to continue your support, please continue to send money as you are already doing- ie to the Diocese of North West Australia - marked as "Edwards Gift". Although the supporter form on this web site is designed for Broome - the deposit details remain exactly the same for Exmouth. If you would like to receive an Exmouth form please email us using the "email us" button on the right. All money raised is managed by the Diocese of North West Australia and Lachlan is paid a standard clergy stipend from our fund through the diocesan payrol. Thank you for your prayers and support.
